Unexpected harmonies, coming at me from at least two different places. What could I do but try to deflect them with my deharmonizer? I swear, I didn’t have a choice!

I know those of you sitting on the subway reading about my deharmonizing in the paper are making your own judgements. I know there are some of you whose minds are going to be all unchangey no matter how convincing my side of the story is. I think it’s completely unfair that the biased, pro-harmonizing media had the opportunity to get to you first, before I even realized that I needed to get my side of the story out there.

My side is pretty short, I guess. I had no choice. It was completely unprovoked and unarmonized. There was nothing else I could do but darmonize them.

Please don’t send me to Armony Island because of this.
