Albanian Vacation

Greetings from sunny Albania!

On our first day here, we jumped into the Albanian River for a refreshing swim. We frolicked and played and ate some snails that were living on the banks of the river. It was the highlight of our vacation so far.

Days two through five were spent trying to wash off the stink of river fish. The industrial-strength cleanser that the fine Albanian people use in the sweat shops proved to be invaluable at finally stripping the smell (and a few layers of skin that we weren’t all that attached to) from our bodies.

On day six we visited the Albanian meat district. It mainly consisted of Boris and his table of “little deer,” which were roughly rat-sized. We still think that they probably were rats, just without any heads or tails. We bought several and grilled them on the fire that we’d kept going in our hotel room. They turned out to be the best eating that any tourists have ever had, anywhere. Those delicious Albanian rats are what would bring us back there again.

Day seven was spent playing Russian roulette with a one-legged carnival reject. We won.

On day eight we sadly had to get back on the plane for our flight back to the United States. Albania, we sure will miss you! Write us! XXX OOO! <3
